Foreign Affairs Minister Mourad Medelci, revealed that President Bouteflika issued a decision for the opening of two Algerian embassies in Oslo and Zagreb, plus a consulate in Dubai, when we expect a movement in the diplomatic corps, next month, which is expected to reach 25 posts. Medelci said yesterday in the radio program « Tahaoulet » a large part of the States concerned by the movement in the Algerian diplomatic corps have given their agreement, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is awaiting approval in other countries. Medelci assured that Prime Minister Francois Fillon will visit Algeria on June 21 next to sign two agreements on military cooperation and peaceful atomic energy, and that contrary to what was spread recently about an alleged cancellation of the visit. The minister acknowledged however that « French investments in Algeria are still below the desired level. » Regarding the issue of relations with Morocco, Medelci said that « there is a desire to improve relations with Rabat », and he alluded to recent statements by the Makhzen, regarding the borders, saying: «Algeria does not ac by statements but by objective analysis. » The Minister of AE also discussed the relationship of Algeria at the Francophonia, and he insisted that « the participation of Algeria summit expected in Canada this autumn does not mean the accession, which remains linked, he said, a « broader cooperation » which can not be reduced to the French language.
